Herbalist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Permaculture Designer, Gardener, Artist, Writer, and Owner of Sun Magic Apothecary.

Megan is devoted to being a bridge to the wisdom of the natural world. She has always been very sensitive to the energy around her and drawn to the wild for nourishment. Through her connection with mother nature—particularly the spirit medicine in all forms that she provides— Megan has found immense healing within her own inner landscape and a shift in the lens through which she presently views the world, and the love for herself and those in her community.

This heart-led path that Megan chooses to walk each day has led her to become a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Herbalist, a permaculture designer, organic gardener, and advocate for regenerative agriculture. Megan is equally as passionate about tending to the soil, the seeds, and the tiniest parts of our ecosystems as she is to tending to our mind, body, and spirits. It is all interconnected.

Megan chose a path to become a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Herbalist for those experiencing physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances because she has seen that there is nothing more profound than healing and nourishing yourself from the root of the issues you may be facing. She healed herself from her own severe illness which manifested from a mix of emotional trauma and physical imbalances in 2015 with the support and guidance of natural medicine practitioners, medicinal herbs, mindfulness practices, a deep dive into different cultures and their spiritual wisdom, and a devotion to self-love and living an intentional life. After a trip to Nepal in 2019, Megan chose to attend the California College of Ayurveda and initially obtained her certification as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor in 2020 and then furthered her studies by moving to Nevada City, California to become a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Herbalist in 2022. Megan is a lover of learning and completed a 75-hour permaculture design certification and 125-hour regenerative herbalism certification in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala in 2022 with teachers Sarah Wu, Lala Palmieri, and Shad Quidsi.

Art and writing have also been key outlets in Megan’s healing journey. In 2015, she double-majored and obtained her B.A. in Studio Art and B.A. in Art History at James Madison University. Expressing herself through art and writing is the first place she felt fully in her element and nourished in sharing her inner experiences with the outside world. Megan is a strong proponent for art therapy and incorporates this into her 1:1 Holistic Wellness sessions.

Megan’s personal artwork takes the form of paintings, jewelry, and photography (both digital and film), reflecting her meditations with mother nature and interweaving her inner world with the natural world. She makes her own paints and dyes from herbs and rocks, and uses up-cycled materials whenever possible. In addition to her own art, Megan presently creates content for those in the holistic health and wellness, as well as conscious living realms who would like to showcase their brand in a unique way. She offers original art, graphic design, writing, and further content creation. Inquire for more about this offering and to see writing and design samples.

Megan has an online apothecary: Sun Magic Apothecary. All proceeds help her work towards her dreams of one day owning land, making medicine, and giving back to her communities near and far. Megan is immensely grateful for her human, animal, plant, and fungi teachers near and far for being guiding lights on this heart-led medicine path.
